Our Co-Founder, David Ebert, and Executive Director, Jaclyn Leeds, together with David Van Beveren of Vegan Hacktivists, formed in 2022 an association of organizations that provide essential capacity building services to animal protection nonprofits. The group, Animal Protection Capacity Builders, is intended to serve as a “one-stop shop” for existing and nascent nonprofits in the movement.
APCB’s current members are ADP, Animal Advocacy Careers, Animetrics, Faunalytics, Impactful Animal Advocacy, Logistically, The Mission Motor, Open Sanctuary Project, Scarlet Spark, Sentient and We Animals. APCB is a vehicle through which its members can help each other develop and grow, cross-refer clients, collaborate on client projects, promote capacity building as an essential segment of the movement and make animal protection capacity building organizations more prominent and accessible.
Capacity building is not just about the capacity of a nonprofit today -- it's about the nonprofit’s ability to deliver its mission effectively now, and in the future. Capacity building is an investment in the effectiveness and future sustainability of a nonprofit.
